Family Services of NW PA – Big Brothers Big Sisters Mentoring Program
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Family Services of NW PA provides adult role models to children 6 to 14 years old who come from, primarily, single parent families. The relationship is monitored on a monthly basis by support staff that help to problem solve obstacles in relationship development and to ensure safety of the child.
Stairways Behavioral Health – Assertive Community Treatment (ACT)
Services: The ACT Team provides the intensive rehabilitation, treatment and support services geared toward assisting that client achieve his or her life goals. This includes service coordination, psychiatric services, individual and group therapy, substance abuse counseling, work related services, daily living skills, social and interpersonal relationship counseling, leisure-time skill training, family education and support, and peer support services.
Stairways Behavioral Health – Certified Peer Specialists (CPS)
Services: A Certified Peer Specialist is passionate about helping his and her peers on the journey to recovery, and will work one-on-one to ensure that each client’s individual recovery goals are developed and pursued. They assist the client to envision an increasingly meaningful life; make informed, independent choices; set goals, and facilitate community integration.
